Overview

This role is a full-time, entry-level Financial Analyst position supporting recurring financial reporting and analysis for revenue, expenses, budgets, forecasts, and operating performance.

Location: Remote — United States

Compensation: $69,000–$77,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
  • Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
  • Communicate financial findings in concise business language, including risks, limitations, and areas requiring follow-up.
  • Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.
  • Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
  • Conduct variance analysis that goes beyond indicating that a number is higher or lower; when information allows, help identify operational or financial drivers behind movements and explain whether differences appear temporary, recurring, assumption-driven, or in need of further review.

Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.
  • Strong numerical reasoning and attention to detail, with a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
  • Ability to compare results, identify material variances, and explain the drivers behind financial changes.
  • Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
  • Willingness to question inconsistent inputs and resolve or escalate discrepancies before completing analysis.
  • Good judgment when financial information is incomplete or inconsistent, including the ability to investigate the source, document limitations, and avoid presenting uncertain results as more precise than they are.
  • Comfort presenting alternative scenarios when outcomes depend on variables that may change, with assumptions made visible rather than hidden inside calculations.
