Responsibilities

  • Investigate discrepancies by tracing figures to their source and requesting clarification.
  • Keep supporting files and model assumptions organized so colleagues can follow your calculations.
  • Compile financial information from approved sources and check it for completeness and consistency.
  • Update budget and forecast worksheets using documented assumptions.
  • Prepare actual-versus-budget comparisons and explain material differences in revenue or spending.
  • Assist with recurring financial reports, including checking formulas and supporting schedules.

Requirements

  • Foundational knowledge of accounting concepts and the relationship between income statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow statements.
  • Familiarity with Excel formulas, lookup functions, and pivot tables.
  • Ability to work carefully with numerical information and explain calculations.
  • Strong organization, written communication, and attention to deadlines.
  • Understanding of the importance of handling financial information confidentially.

Relevant study in finance, accounting, economics, or a related subject is helpful. Academic budgeting and financial modeling projects can demonstrate required skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience demonstrating required skills through academic work, personal projects, or internships.
  • Prior full-time analyst employment is not a requirement.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary range: $60,000-$75,000 USD
