Overview

A transportation management company specializing in parking and tolling management solutions is seeking a Financial Analyst to support business performance through data-driven financial analysis, reporting, and insight generation. This remote role requires residency in one of the following U.S. states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, LA, MD, MA, MI, MO, MN, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI, WV, VT, or D.C. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Produce the monthly management reporting package, including profit and loss commentary, key performance indicators, and executive-level variance analysis using NetSuite and Vena Solutions.
  • Conduct department-level financial analysis by partnering with business leaders to review actuals versus budget, identify cost drivers, and provide actionable insights.
  • Utilize AI tools such as Claude to accelerate data analysis, draft financial commentary, identify trends, and enhance the quality and efficiency of financial deliverables.
  • Support the month-end close process by analyzing financial results in NetSuite, maintaining Vena-based reporting templates, and ensuring accuracy of management financials.
  • Maintain and improve company-wide cost allocations to align with the financial framework and support the closing process.
  • Create, analyze, and distribute financial reports for various audiences, including monthly management packages, quarterly business reviews, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive cash flow forecast to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
  • Support the annual budget and rolling forecast process within Vena Solutions, including scenario modeling and financial projections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, finance, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting methods, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with GAAP, IFRS, and financial statement analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP and Vena Solutions or comparable CPM/reporting platforms.
  • Experience with AI productivity tools such as Claude preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and present insights clearly.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear narratives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with Vena Solutions for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Bill.com, BambooHR, or Smartsheet.
  • Experience creating saved searches and custom reports in NetSuite ERP.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $65,000 - $73,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
