Overview
This role involves serving as a Financial Analyst within a facility management organization, supporting the Finance Manager by managing key financial functions such as reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The position requires collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure financial integrity and drive process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and promptly record all monthly results, expenses, and accruals in both client and internal financial systems
- Oversee and monitor operating expense budgets and financials, maintaining detailed data related to work orders, costs, and key performance indicators
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities to support informed decision-making and strategic planning
- Act as a primary financial liaison for clients, building collaborative partnerships and responding to financial queries
- Coordinate communications with stakeholders regarding financial status and progress
- Provide financial advice and support to local Facilities Managers
- Support the development and implementation of new client reporting tools
- Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures across the project portfolio
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of finance experience in a similar role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models, pivot tables, and analytical reports
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience collaborating effectively with clients and cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple priorities in a demanding environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial real estate, facility management, or fiscal management environments
- Familiarity with financial management systems and integrated IT platforms for expense tracking and reporting
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Knowledge of financial compliance frameworks and internal control procedures
- Demonstrated initiative in problem-solving and examples of process improvements implemented in previous roles
