This full-time, entry-level remote role (United States) is for a Financial Analyst who will organize financial information into useful views of actual performance, expected results, and the factors driving differences between plans and outcomes. Accuracy and clear communication are essential.
Forecasting involves uncertainty, so assumptions must be visible rather than hidden inside calculations. The work includes presenting alternative scenarios when a single estimate could create a false sense of precision—especially when outcomes depend on variables that may change.
You may move between financial statements, spreadsheet schedules, operating metrics, and forecast assumptions during the same week. Across tasks, the core expectations are clear assumptions, checked calculations, and conclusions presented in a way that supports decisions.
Variance analysis should go beyond identifying whether a number is higher or lower. Where information allows, identify the operational or financial drivers behind movement and explain whether differences appear temporary, recurring, assumption-driven, or in need of further review.
Strong performance means producing financial work that is technically reliable and useful to decision-makers. Supporting numbers with clear assumptions, reasonable checks, and concise explanations of key drivers is expected.
