Financial Analyst

Overview

This full-time Financial Analyst role is remote within the United States. The position supports finance planning activities using organized spreadsheets, with an emphasis on financial reporting, budgeting support, and variance analysis. You will collaborate with the team remotely, document your work, and raise questions when information is unclear.

Responsibilities

• Review financial schedules for completeness and arithmetic accuracy.
• Communicate analysis findings in plain language to other team members.
• Compare actual results with budgets and prior-period figures.
• Support regular budgeting and forecast updates using supplied assumptions.
• Help prepare monthly reports with clearly labeled tables and charts.
• Maintain working files and document sources used for calculations.
• Assist with preparation of forecast scenarios under team guidance.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using Excel formulas, charts, and basic spreadsheet analysis.
• Willingness to learn budgeting and reporting systems.
• Experience with reconciliations or financial reports is helpful.
• Ability to explain simple financial findings clearly.
• Strong judgment when handling confidential financial information.

Experience from related roles, internships, or individual projects can be useful preparation.
