Overview
A company in the commerce network industry is seeking a Financial Analyst to support organizational performance through data analysis, reporting, and cross-team collaboration. The organization serves over 40,000 companies and manages more than $50 billion in annual gross merchandise volume (GMV), providing commerce, marketing, and delivery solutions to optimize consumer shopping journeys.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership on monthly and quarterly forecasting, as well as annual and long-range corporate planning.
- Support financial areas including headcount planning, metric reporting, cost control, and strategic data analysis.
- Monitor and analyze ongoing expenses such as payroll, external contractors, infrastructure, corporate software, travel, and other non-payroll costs.
- Prepare monthly variance analyses and presentations for leadership and executive teams, highlighting key variance drivers.
- Work closely with departments including Accounting, Procurement, IT, and Marketing to ensure data accuracy and alignment with company goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in financial planning, analysis, or corporate accounting.
- Experience working within a SaaS environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, basic financial modeling) and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with financial tools and enterprise systems such as NetSuite or similar ERP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective cross-functional communication abilities.
- High attention to detail with good organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or an MBA.
- Experience using Pigment and Salesforce platform data.
- Experience partnering directly with c-suite stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, month-end close procedures, and general ledger operations.
- Comfort using artificial intelligence tools to support daily analytical tasks.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation
- Base salary range: $65,000 to $95,000 per year (varies by location, skills, and experience).
- Eligible for a discretionary bonus of approximately 10% of the annual base salary.
