Overview

This role supports budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of business performance. You’ll work with financial information (and the assumptions behind it) and clearly explain what the numbers mean in practical terms.

You may move between financial statements, spreadsheet schedules, operating metrics, and forecast assumptions within the same week. Calculations must be checked, assumptions kept transparent, and conclusions presented in a way that supports decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
  • Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.
  • Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
  • Help improve recurring financial reporting processes while maintaining appropriate review controls.
  • Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
  • Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.

Models and schedules should remain understandable after the immediate task is complete, using clear labels, documented assumptions, reasonable checks, and organized formulas.

Requirements

  • Interest in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forward-looking business planning.
  • Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
  • Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
  • Willingness to question inconsistent inputs and resolve or escalate discrepancies before completing an analysis.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.

When financial information is incomplete or inconsistent, you should investigate the source, document limitations, and avoid presenting uncertain results as more precise than they are.
