Overview

This role involves serving as a key financial partner to Operations, driving data-driven decision-making through reporting, analysis, and cost optimization. The Financial Analyst will translate complex data into actionable insights to help leadership manage performance, mitigate risks, and improve operational efficiency. The position collaborates with Finance and Business Unit teams to gather requirements, partners with backend and data teams for data reconciliation and validation, and creates and automates real-time, month-end, and year-end financial reporting and dashboards. Cost controlling across various business areas within Operations is a primary responsibility, along with providing financial consultation and strategic collaboration.

Responsibilities

Reporting and Data Development (75%)

  • Use a structured, problem-solving approach and data-driven decisions to provide financial reporting and strategic collaboration to business owners.
  • Advise leadership on resource efficiency, trends, and risks.
  • Assist in business case development and ensure results are measured.
  • Generate and publish charts, reports, and data analysis supporting Operations processes, KPIs, and deliverables.
  • Provide regularly scheduled reporting against operational results and forecasts for all major cost activities.
  • Proactively escalate major risks or opportunities to management.
  • Maintain data integrity and quality control of management reports.
  • Handle ad hoc data requests from stakeholders within and outside Operations.
  • Drive improvements in warranty (chargeback) data accuracy and recovery rates.

Collaboration (25%)

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the team to create synergies and align on reporting and tracking needs.
  • Support the creation of presentations and reports for management.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in controlling, business management, or finance.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management, or equivalent.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with creative and strategic problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with software and computer tools.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functionally with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Structured problem-solving and process-focused mindset.
  • Experience with policy definition and implementation.
  • Ability to identify and remediate risks.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, quality, and reliability.

Specialized Skills (Required)

  • Expertise in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining reports by integrating data from various systems, tools, and platforms.
  • Experience with visualization and analysis tools such as Tableau and Snowflake.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, dynamic arrays, and modeling.
  • Strong business acumen to understand stakeholder needs and key financial metrics.
  • Experience managing and improving cross-functional processes.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable information through presentations.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, including P&L management, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Demonstrated ability to control costs and perform financial analysis focusing on cost drivers and deviation analysis.
  • Experience with financial and accounting systems such as SAP.

Specialized Skills (Desired)

  • Previous experience in the electric vehicle charging industry.
  • Experience in accounting and budgeting.

Work Flexibility

  • Up to 10% travel required.

Compensation

Salary ranges vary by location and are influenced by factors such as geographical differentials, industry experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications.

  • California: $60,800 – $121,700
  • Colorado: $60,800 – $93,600
  • Washington: $60,800 – $102,100
  • New York City: $86,900 – $121,700
  • Westchester County: $72,900 – $121,700
  • Rhode Island: $60,800 – $93,600
