Financial Analyst

Overview

This full-time Financial Analyst role is remote within the United States. The position focuses on reviewing financial results and explaining significant variances through financial reporting, budgeting support, and careful variance analysis. Work is performed remotely, with documentation of activities and proactive follow-up when information is unclear.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial spreadsheets and ensure formulas reference current inputs.
• Prepare simple variance explanations for review by finance colleagues.
• Organize financial records and verify that totals reconcile.
• Identify missing inputs and raise questions about unusual figures.
• Summarize cost and revenue trends using approved financial data.
• Coordinate reporting inputs and clarify deadlines with stakeholders.
• Check financial schedules for completeness and arithmetic accuracy.

Qualifications

• Relevant finance, accounting, or business coursework is useful.
• Comfortable using Excel formulas, charts, and basic spreadsheet analysis.
• Willingness to learn budgeting and reporting systems.
• Experience with reconciliations or financial reports is helpful.
• Ability to clearly explain simple financial findings.
