Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

- Build and maintain financial models in Excel covering revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, operating expense, and headcount.
- Perform budget vs. actual and period-over-period variance analysis, and write clear commentary on what drove results.
- Support the annual budget and rolling forecast by gathering and challenging inputs from brand and functional owners.
- Analyze product, channel, and brand profitability, combining COGS and inventory data with financials from the accounting system.
- Track marketing efficiency with brand teams by connecting spend to contribution margin (not revenue alone).
- Analyze vendor and operating spend trends and flag areas where costs are running ahead of plan early enough to act.
- Partner with accounting to ensure reporting ties to the closed books and investigate results that do not look right.
- Create ad hoc analysis for the VP of Finance and brand leadership, turning messy data into clear, defensible recommendations.
Treasury & Cash Management
- Prepare the daily cash on hand and available credit report across all bank accounts, entities, and brands.
- Own the rolling thirteen-week cash forecast, updating receipts, disbursements, and financing activity as new information arrives.
- Track expected collections using A/R data; track expected disbursements using A/P and card data.
- Prepare and route funding transfers between entities and accounts, and monitor balances against target minimums.
- Reconcile bank activity daily, investigate unidentified deposits, returns, and exceptions, and escalate quickly.
- Support borrowing base reporting, covenant tracking, and lender reporting packages under the group’s credit facilities.
- Monitor merchant processor and marketplace settlements, and tie payouts back to the general ledger.
- Maintain bank administration records, including account documentation, user access, and payment approval matrices.
- Coordinate with payroll so wage, contractor, and benefit obligations are funded on time.
Cross-Functional Execution & Process Improvement
- Use AI (primarily Claude) to accelerate data cleanup, reconciliation, model documentation, and first-draft analysis; verify outputs before they are shared.
