Overview
A premier institutional-grade financial services and banking enterprise is seeking a highly analytical and rigorous Financial Analyst. This role focuses on bridging core banking operations with corporate financial strategy by building predictive forecasting models and leading enterprise portfolio optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and stress-test complex dynamic financial models (including DCF, three-statement, and scenario analyses) to forecast revenues, expenditures, and capital adequacy under various market conditions.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analyses (Budget vs. Actual) to identify key operational cost drivers, revenue leakage, and provide margin optimization insights.
- Evaluate institutional commercial lending portfolios, perform asset-liability management (ALM) assessments, and develop cost-benefit frameworks for large-scale corporate investments.
- Create clear, actionable executive dashboards and board-ready reports for business unit leaders, risk officers, and C-suite stakeholders to support commercial decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly quantitative field.
- Progress toward or completion of CFA charter or CPA designation is highly desirable.
- Advanced expertise in constructing dynamic, multi-variable financial models with automated scenario selectors and sensitivity tables.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including nested formulas, Power Query, and basic VBA macros) and practical experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation from core banking systems.
- Experience deploying automated corporate dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) suites such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or Anaplan.
- Strong knowledge of banking performance metrics (NIM, ROA, ROE, efficiency ratios) and foundational understanding of financial compliance frameworks (Basel III, CCAR).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in Mandarin, Korean, or Japanese is a plus.
