Financial Controller

Overview

The organization is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee core financial operations in a high-growth digital media and advertising technology environment. This role ensures accuracy and efficiency across billing, accounts receivable, financial reporting, cash flow management, and compliance, while providing insights that support strategic decision-making, budgeting, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process and prepare financial reports for executive review.
• Monitor financial KPIs and identify opportunities for process and performance improvements.
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial priorities with broader business objectives.
• Support cash flow planning and working capital management.
• Coordinate financial audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage end-to-end billing and invoicing processes.
• Oversee billing inquiries, disputes, and collections activities.
• Implement scalable billing systems, processes, and controls to support business growth.
• Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar financial leadership role.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet competing deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience working in digital media, advertising technology, or startup environments.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $100,000–$125,000 annually.
• Total compensation may include base salary, performance-based bonus, and equity. The overall package is determined by experience, level, location, and other relevant factors.
