Overview

The organization is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to turn data into clear insights that support business decisions.

You will join the Strategy & Analytics team and work closely with Finance to identify signals that reflect how the business is performing. A key part of the role is making finance reporting scalable by replacing manual work with reliable, repeatable datasets and processes. You will also support invoicing and other finance workflows to ensure the logic behind claims, payments, and fees is complete and accurate.

Responsibilities

  • Build dashboards and reporting to power recurring Finance reporting, including creating, maintaining, and iterating on dashboards and reports; automate where possible and keep underlying queries current.
  • Validate and reconcile data by ensuring database outputs are correct through reconciliation across production systems, Salesforce, Rillet, Metabase, and financial reporting; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Own and maintain Finance data models used for invoicing, revenue reporting, collections, fee payments, refunds, and forecasting.
  • Keep systems aligned by coordinating changes across Salesforce, Rillet, production systems, and Finance reporting so IDs connect properly, inputs have a defined source of truth, and definitions and logic remain consistent.
  • Build data quality controls by monitoring for data issues and setting up controls and alerts to catch upstream breaks, logic changes, or unusual movements before they impact invoices or reporting.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a Financial Data Analyst, or Analytics role
  • Strong SQL skills and comfort working with large datasets
  • Experience building dashboards with BI tools (Metabase, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Experience working with financial data specifically (not just product/usage data)
  • Strong analytical instincts, including the ability to identify trends and anomalies
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analysis
  • Clear communication skills for explaining insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Curious, proactive approach and comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting finance, operations, or revenue teams with reporting
  • Experience working in healthcare, healthcare payments, or another regulated environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation range: $125K - $170K
  • Competitive compensation, including equity
  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement savings plan through 401(k)
  • Flexible time off
  • Opportunities for company-wide connection and events
