Responsibilities

  • Review individual, trust, and business tax returns with an emphasis on tax planning and optimization.
  • Implement comprehensive financial plans including retirement, estate, cash flow, and investment planning aligned with clients’ long-term objectives.
  • Collaborate with investment managers to develop tax-efficient investment strategies.
  • Advise clients on complex financial scenarios.
  • Maintain detailed documentation to comply with regulatory and firm standards.
  • Communicate proactively with clients and internal team members to address planning needs and provide ongoing recommendations.
  • Manage the financial planning team to ensure firm goals and standards are met.

Requirements

  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation; Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation is also acceptable.
  • Expertise in reviewing individual, trust, and business tax returns with a focus on tax planning.
  • Experience in financial planning for high-net-worth clients or families with complex financial situations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial concepts clearly and respectfully.
  • Ability to work remotely with reliable technology, self-motivation, and effective collaboration in a virtual team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or specialized coursework in taxation or financial planning is beneficial.
