Overview
An organization specializing in global capital risk solutions is seeking an Associate / Associate Partner for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) - Insights. This full-time role, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, involves building and scaling financial analytical intelligence capabilities to support decision-making across the business.
Responsibilities
- Conduct deep-dive analyses into business performance, customer behavior, and operational efficiency to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities that inform strategic priorities.
- Develop predictive models and scenario analyses to anticipate future business needs and enable proactive decision-making.
- Transform complex datasets into clear, compelling visualizations and narratives accessible to diverse audiences.
- Design and implement scalable data analytics frameworks and reporting tools for real-time visibility into business performance.
- Integrate aggregated data from multiple systems (FP&A platforms, accounting, CRM, operational databases) to create unified business performance views.
- Support core FP&A tasks with analytical rigor and insights across traditional management reporting.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify key business questions, design analytical frameworks, and deliver findings that influence executive decisions.
- Partner across sales, operations, product, and marketing teams to provide data-driven recommendations shaping resource allocation and strategic initiatives.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities for recurring reporting processes to reduce manual effort and accelerate insight delivery.
- Build repeatable analytical frameworks to increase organizational bandwidth and reduce reliance on ad hoc data pulls.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate insight generation, automate analytical tasks, and enhance financial modeling and reporting quality and speed.
- Continuously improve systems utilization and evaluate new reporting tools to enhance insight scalability.
- Champion a data-first mindset across the organization, empowering teams to leverage analytics in decision-making and strategic planning.
Requirements
- 4-8 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial data analytics, or business intelligence with a proven track record of translating data into business impact.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders through compelling insights and drive decisions via financial analysis.
- Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to introducing and executing new ideas.
- Hands-on technical expertise with a builder mentality; able to design solutions from scratch, troubleshoot, and deliver results in ambiguous environments.
- Active use of AI tools such as large language models, AI-assisted coding, and analytics copilots.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical findings into strategic recommendations for diverse audiences.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for experimentation, continuous learning, and pushing data capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively across a broad remit, balancing core FP&A cycles with advanced analytics and insights work.
- Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with finance, sales, operations, and technology teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
