Overview

A client is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Representative to join their team on a remote, contract basis.

Contract Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $26/hr on W2

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Budgeting

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with cross-functional department heads to develop accurate financial targets.
  • Perform comprehensive budget-versus-actual variance analysis, identifying key drivers of financial performance and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to support strategic decision-making and operational planning.
  • Prepare and present executive-level financial reports, including Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.

Accounting Operations & Month-End Close

  • Manage and execute month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping and ensure strict adherence to accrual-based accounting principles.
  • Conduct complex account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance to guarantee data integrity across all financial systems.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve internal financial controls.

Audit, Compliance & Reporting

  • Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, supporting statutory and tax audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.
  • Ensure all financial reporting and accounting operations comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Apply management accounting best practices to align financial reporting with overall business strategy and operational goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Active U.S. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly preferred or required.
  • Strong expertise in full-cycle bookkeeping, general ledger management, and accrual accounting.
  • Proficiency in budget development, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Experience managing month-end close procedures and preparing complete financial statements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex accounting data into strategic business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with auditors and non-finance stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with financial accounting controls.
  • Knowledge of full-cycle bookkeeping.
  • General ledger management expertise.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay rate of $26 per hour on a W2 basis.
