A client is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Representative to join their team on a remote, contract basis.

Pay Rate: $26/hr on W2
Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Budgeting
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with cross-functional department heads to develop accurate financial targets.
- Perform comprehensive budget-versus-actual variance analysis, identifying key drivers of financial performance and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to support strategic decision-making and operational planning.
- Prepare and present executive-level financial reports, including Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
Accounting Operations & Month-End Close
- Manage and execute month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping and ensure strict adherence to accrual-based accounting principles.
- Conduct complex account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance to guarantee data integrity across all financial systems.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve internal financial controls.
Audit, Compliance & Reporting
- Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, supporting statutory and tax audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.
- Ensure all financial reporting and accounting operations comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Apply management accounting best practices to align financial reporting with overall business strategy and operational goals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Active U.S. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly preferred or required.
- Strong expertise in full-cycle bookkeeping, general ledger management, and accrual accounting.
- Proficiency in budget development, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
- Experience managing month-end close procedures and preparing complete financial statements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex accounting data into strategic business recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with auditors and non-finance stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with financial accounting controls.
- Knowledge of full-cycle bookkeeping.
- General ledger management expertise.
