Overview
A leading benefits administration organization is seeking a Finance Analyst with 1–3 years of experience to join their team. This role supports the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team by managing planning and forecasting processes, providing detailed financial reporting and analysis to support executive decision-making and improve profitability.
Responsibilities
- Support the annual budgeting and rolling forecast process
- Prepare monthly financial reports with commentary and recommendations for leadership
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budget/forecast, identify performance drivers, and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate with accounting to ensure financial data accuracy
- Partner with business leaders on FP&A-related activities
- Provide decision-support insights for investments and cost-saving initiatives
- Identify and report key metrics for company accountability, including Quarterly Board Reporting
- Collaborate with HR on requisition processes to manage personnel headcount and costs
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders through effective communication
- Partner with Sales to develop financial models and review pricing for new business and renewals
- Review quarterly Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Bad Debt reserves
- Assist with detailed cash flow and balance sheet projections, supporting treasury as needed
- Support senior finance leadership on key financial decisions
- Utilize approved AI tools to enhance efficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and documentation while ensuring accuracy and compliance
AI & Digital Productivity Expectations
- Use AI tools to assist with drafting financial commentary, summarizing reporting insights, preliminary variance analysis, and research
- Write clear prompts to generate relevant AI outputs
- Critically evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy and alignment with financial data
- Apply strong human judgment before incorporating AI outputs
- Follow Responsible AI standards including data privacy, security protocols, and appropriate AI use within company guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 2 years of progressive financial analysis experience
- Experience performing variance analysis and presenting insights to leadership
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong financial modeling skills and advanced Excel proficiency
- Collaborative business partner with ability to build cross-functional relationships
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

- Experience in SaaS companies
- Familiarity with NetSuite and Oracle PBCS
- Experience working within a Private Equity ownership structure

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $65,000 - $75,000 (final offer based on location, skills, education, experience, and internal equity)
