Financial Production Controller

Overview

This role involves planning and directing accounting operations at assigned facilities, reporting directly to the CFO. The position is exempt and may be located at various sites with little travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facilities' closing process, ensuring financial reporting meets corporate deadlines and complies with policies
• Produce periodic financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and international financial reporting standards
• Perform analyses and prepare accounting journal entries related to prepaids, accruals, payroll, inventory, and other areas
• Conduct monthly account reconciliations
• Develop budgets and forecasts, monitoring deviations
• Lead quarterly forecast development for assigned locations
• Analyze actual results versus forecasts and prepare variance analyses
• Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with operations to analyze production metrics
• Prepare and present ad hoc cost analyses and reports
• Reconcile inventory balances between ERP systems and physical counts
• Analyze and report on inventory reserves including slow-moving and obsolete items
• Provide cost data for make-versus-buy decisions, pricing updates, and profitability analysis
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Minimum of five years of related experience
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to learn new technologies
• Experience with Infor Visual ERP is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Proficiency in accounting and tax preparation software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
• Ability to travel as needed
