Overview

A well-established accounting and advisory firm with over 40 years of experience is seeking a Forensics Manager to join their team. The firm provides Tax, Accounting, Assurance, and Advisory services to clients across the United States and is recognized as a top workplace. This role involves managing litigation, forensic, dispute resolution, and business valuation engagements while leading and developing staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical review of workpapers and reports.
  • Review valuation and forensic analyses, including interpretation of financial statements and expert witness exhibits.
  • Manage engagements including planning, scoping, budgeting, and execution.
  • Ensure accuracy of information and work throughout client assignments.
  • Collaborate with discovery teams to reconcile documents and data for submission to courts, attorneys, and clients.
  • Provide on-the-job training to department staff.
  • Anticipate and analyze potential issues during projects and recommend solutions.
  • Keep senior management informed of important developments and assist in documenting findings and case issues.
  • Develop knowledge of relevant statutory and family codes applicable to forensic accounting.
  • Supervise litigation staff and seniors, providing training and development.
  • Assist in recruiting, performance evaluations, and professional development programs.
  • Ensure smooth workflow in litigation processes for timely and accurate preparation of workpapers and reports.
  • Participate in practice development through involvement with referral sources, community, and industry activities.
  • Maintain client confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA license required; ABV, CVA, or other valuation industry credentials preferred.
  • 3-5 years of direct experience delivering business valuations, transaction advisory, litigation, and forensic services within accounting, litigation, or consulting firms.
  • Prior experience with business valuations related to Texas Family Law, Estate, and Gift Taxes.
