Overview
This role involves working as an FP&A Analyst at a high-growth SaaS company specializing in developer tools for email, calendar, and contact management integration. The position requires ownership of financial models, independent problem-solving, and the use of AI tools to enhance financial planning and analysis processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain driver-based ARR forecast models, including platform and product-level forecasting
- Prepare data for system uploads related to revenue and ARR
- Build and maintain dynamic working capital and cash flow forecasts tied to operational assumptions
- Conduct customer and cohort analytics, including ARR trending by segment, churn and expansion analysis, and retention metrics
- Perform variance analysis comparing budget vs. actual and period-over-period results, providing narrative commentary for executive and board audiences
- Provide rapid-turnaround ad hoc analyses and summary documents to support executive decision-making
- Leverage AI tools to draft summaries, build and refine model logic, transform data, write documentation, and produce presentation-ready outputs
Requirements
Educational and Professional Background
- 2-4 years of experience in SaaS FP&A, preferably with exposure to the three financial statements
- Experience working closely with department leads and owning planning cycles end-to-end
- Strong foundational knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling
Technical Proficiency
- Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including complex financial models, dynamic formulas, structured data ranges, named ranges, and cross-sheet architecture
- Proficient use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar for knowledge work (model building, analysis drafting, document summarization, output reformatting, problem-solving)
- Ability to independently produce polished deliverables including Excel models, Word documents, PDF summaries, and presentation decks without external design or editing support
- Bonus: familiarity with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar), SQL, or financial systems (NetSuite, Hubspot, Salesforce)

- Ability to design model structures based on business questions rather than just filling templates
- Strong instincts to identify key insights beyond raw outputs
- Comfortable working with ambiguity, making reasonable assumptions, documenting them, and progressing without perfect data

- Clear and concise written communication, capable of summarizing complex models into one-page executive summaries without losing substance
- Comfortable presenting findings to senior stakeholders, including CFO-level, with minimal preparation
- Proactive in asking clarifying questions to focus efforts effectively

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications assessed objectively during the interview process, including knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities.
Location
Employment eligibility is limited to candidates located in or able to work from states or provinces where the employer is registered. Visa sponsorship may not be available in certain remote locations.
Interview Process
- Round 1: 30-minute video discussion with the Head of FP&A
- Round 2: 60-minute live case study discussion with the Head of FP&A
- Round 3: Three 45-minute video discussions with various cross-functional leaders
- Round 4: 45-minute video discussion with the CFO
