Overview
This role supports operational excellence for private fund managers by handling key tasks across fund administration and related finance functions. Responsibilities include recording accounting activity, supporting investment tracking and performance reporting, reconciling cash balances, and assisting with preparation of fund financial and investor communications.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recording basic accounting entries and learning to work with both cash and accrual activity
- Support the team in tracking investment activity and help prepare performance reports
- Reconcile cash balances and assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Help prepare schedules for management fees, allocations, and other fund-related calculations
- Assist with preparation of financial statements, reports, investor notices, and tax schedules
- Collaborate with colleagues and third-party providers such as auditors and tax teams
- Participate in team learning opportunities and support onboarding of future hires
Requirements
- A degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field (or equivalent coursework/experience)
- A basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge is a plus, but not required)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and professional written communication
- Willingness to learn fund concepts like fees, capital activities, and industry best practices
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Interest in learning fund administration software (training will be provided)
Compensation & Benefits

- Base salary commensurate with experience and success: The annual base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000
- Quarterly bonus: 1/3rd of profits shared with team members in bonuses each quarter (no stated cap)
Location
Primarily remote, with some training for this role potentially delivered in-person using client sites or local coworking locations. Clients may also request on-site support from time to time. Expectations for any in-person training or support time will be outlined during the interview process.
