Global Payroll Operations Specialist (Indonesia)

Overview

An organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their Global Payroll Operations team, focusing on the APAC region. This role is critical in supporting the expansion of global payroll products integrated with the company's broader HR, IT, and Finance systems. The position involves managing operational aspects across select countries, maintaining relationships with external partners, and driving expansion into new customer segments and geographies.

Responsibilities

• Execute timely payroll processing, filings, and payments for customers across key countries in the APAC region.
• Resolve issues and communicate with government agencies, partners, and customers directly to address payroll-related concerns.
• Collaborate closely with Global Payroll Engineering and Product teams to ensure:
  • Payroll software supports key payroll and tax compliance requirements.
  • Prompt resolution of product bugs and issues such as calculation or file generation errors.
  • Prioritization and implementation of internal tooling requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in an Indonesia payroll processing role.
• At least 2+ years in a client-facing payroll role.
• Direct experience running payroll using local Indonesian payroll software.
• Deep expertise in Indonesia payroll processes, including end-to-end execution.
• Ability to process payroll activities in compliance with company guidelines, social security, legislation, and local tax requirements.
• Proficiency with Google Suite or Microsoft Office (Docs, Sheets, Excel) for data analysis and task organization.
• Familiarity with Salesforce queues, JIRA, and Confluence is a plus.
• Strong understanding of payroll concepts, regulations, and related systems/software.
• Knowledge of leave entitlements and labor legislation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under strict deadlines.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience running payroll in additional APAC countries.
• Experience with payroll in LATAM or EMEA regions is a bonus.
