Interim Senior Accountant - GL

Overview

An established healthcare organization is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to support the accounting function during a critical post-system conversion phase. This fully remote, US-based role focuses on stabilizing and optimizing accounting operations following a major system transition, with potential for conversion to a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Manage key balance sheet accounts and support a 10-day or faster month-end close process
• Handle complex accruals and related calculations
• Support the transition from Sage 500 to NetSuite, including cleanup and account mapping

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong background in SaaS and NetSuite (required)
• Experience with system conversions, including mapping, reclassifications, and research
• Proven ownership of month-end close and balance sheet processes
• Experience in healthcare, technology, or other complex environments preferred
• CPA certification strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Public accounting experience, particularly in audit or forensic accounting
