Junior Analyst

Overview

A privately held investment research and trading firm managing its own capital across public markets is seeking a Junior Analyst. The firm combines human judgment with modern AI to analyze market movements and make informed trading decisions. This full-time, fully remote role operates on US market hours and offers an entry point into a serious trading seat with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the pre-market summary each day: concise, prioritized, and punctual.
• Track earnings and events for owned and watched securities, including precise timing and relevance to positioning.
• Provide intraday checkpoint notes to maintain an up-to-date market read.
• Maintain watchlists, thematic baskets, stub positions; set alerts; and create same-day breakdowns and screens to answer ad-hoc questions.
• Deliver fast, accurate desk support including data pulls, fact-checks, liquidity and sizing context, and other urgent requests.
• Utilize modern AI tools to expand coverage, summarize information at scale, and reduce noise.

Requirements

• Strong interest and engagement with financial markets, including earnings seasons and market commentary.
• Ability to quickly and accurately process large volumes of data, rules, and constraints.
• Attention to detail ensuring recurring deliverables are complete, correct, and timely.
• Clear and concise communication skills to distill complex information into actionable insights.
• Coachable with a low ego; receptive to feedback and adaptable to changing facts.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under real-time market pressure.
• Reliable adherence to a daily rhythm of deliverables aligned with market hours.
• Skilled at filtering information to highlight what matters most.
• Proficient in working quickly without sacrificing accuracy.
• Comfortable using AI tools for monitoring, summarizing, and triage.
• Self-directed and able to manage time effectively in a remote work environment.

Core Skills

• Working knowledge of equities including tickers, earnings mechanics, analyst ratings, and how news impacts prices.
• Expertise in information triage to separate relevant from irrelevant data rapidly.
• Ability to synthesize large information flows into concise, prioritized briefs under time constraints.
• Experience building and maintaining lists, screens, and data breakdowns to answer same-day questions.
• Familiarity with tooling and AI workflows to enhance monitoring and alerting capabilities.
