Law Firm Controller - REMOTE

Overview

This is a remote, full-time role available only to candidates who reside in AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WV.

The organization is seeking an experienced Fractional Controller to help solo law firm owners understand their financials, improve profitability, and make smarter financial decisions.

You will advise a roster of 40 clients as part of a Fractional Executive Team that supports CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and Controllers.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly 1:1 financial strategy calls with clients
• Analyze financial statements, KPIs, profitability, and cash flow
• Build and interpret financial dashboards
• Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts and identify risks
• Translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations
• Coach clients toward stronger financial habits and accountability

Requirements

• Controller or senior-level accounting/finance experience
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, KPI, and dashboard experience
• Proven results improving profitability, cash flow, or expenses
• Experience managing teams or client relationships
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain financials simply
• Experience working with small businesses or in an entrepreneurial environment strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional services or law firm experience

Compensation & Benefits

• $110,000 to $145,000 total annual compensation
  • Includes base pay, roster-based earnings, additional projects, and projected bonuses

Location

Remote. Candidates must reside in AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WV.

Evening availability is required at times, and travel is required.
