Overview

The Lead Analyst role involves transforming complex data into actionable performance insights, strategic recommendations, and financial models to accelerate commercial performance and drive measurable growth for assigned client accounts. This position is responsible for executive-level performance analysis, validating forecasting and compensation strategies, and collaborating directly with business owners to identify opportunities, address performance gaps, and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead analytics partner for assigned clients and sales organizations, managing performance analysis, forecasting, and commercial reporting
  • Lead performance discussions and present actionable recommendations to senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Conduct daily Excel-driven analysis covering sales performance, profitability, forecasting, and compensation strategy
  • Build and maintain complex financial models, pro forma P&Ls, incentive structures, and scenario analyses
  • Collaborate directly with independent sales leaders and business owners to improve performance, optimize earnings, and identify growth opportunities
  • Develop executive-level reporting, KPI dashboards, and commercial performance analysis using Excel and Tableau
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, data integrity, and sound financial assumptions while quickly identifying trends, gaps, and risks
  • Follow organizational guidelines and best practices for responsible AI use and data security
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational priorities

Requirements

  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling, managing large datasets, reporting automation, and KPI/dashboard development
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, understanding operational and financial drivers behind sales performance, profitability, forecasting, and compensation strategy
  • Analytical problem-solving skills to identify trends, risks, inconsistencies, and growth opportunities within complex datasets and ambiguous business scenarios
  • Excellent executive communication skills, capable of presenting insights and recommendations clearly and confidently to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to operate with urgency, manage competing priorities effectively, and deliver accurate work in fast-paced, high-performance environments
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate research, writing, and analysis while applying sound judgment to validate and refine outputs

Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience.

This role is based at the organization's headquarters in Newport Beach, California, with an additional office located in Toronto, Ontario.
