Overview
This part-time, remote Learner position in Accounts Receivable offers an opportunity to support the accounting operations of a fast-growing meat snack brand. The role focuses on accounts receivable, revenue, and trade spend management, providing valuable experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. The position is temporary for 6 months with potential for extension or transition to full-time based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage invoicing for wholesale and e-commerce customers, ensuring pricing and discount accuracy.
- Process payments and credit memos, applying cash receipts accurately.
- Escalate past due accounts receivable balances to customers promptly.
- Provide weekly accounts receivable aging reports to Accounting and Finance leadership.
- Organize documentation to support deduction disputes and manage trade/deduction reconciliations.
- Identify and resolve variances between ERP and trade promotion management platforms.
- Assist Revenue Accountant with invoice reconciliation against shipping data and recommend adjustments.
- Support Trade Accountant with accrual schedule roll-forward and journal entry preparation.
- Perform ad-hoc projects and analyses as needed.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree (at least Junior standing) or recently graduated in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles.
- Comfortable working with numbers and data in Excel.
- Interest in the CPG industry, particularly revenue and trade accounting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong communication skills.
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, curious, and proactive in asking questions to understand underlying issues.

Compensation & Benefits
