Overview
A national tax office is seeking a Manager with a focus on M&A transaction work. This role involves providing exceptional client services in a growing environment, with opportunities for training, mentorship, advancement, and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on various federal income tax issues, including partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, timing issues, accounting methods, digital assets, and other related matters
- Assist with M&A tax structuring and internal restructuring
- Draft emails, memos, and firm-wide alerts on current developments in federal income tax
- Support firm-wide trainings in federal income tax
- Assist with federal domestic tax due diligence related to M&A transactions
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive federal income tax consulting experience, preferably at a large law firm, large accounting firm, or the IRS
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Tax LL.M. degrees
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with partnerships, S corporations, and/or C corporations
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Proficiency with tax research databases such as Bloomberg BNA and RIA Checkpoint
Compensation & Benefits
- For Minnesota and Illinois, the expected salary range is $110,000 to $170,000
- Salary ranges in other locations may vary based on market differences
- Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law
