Overview
A national third-party administrator (TPA) with a local market presence is seeking a Manager of Payment Operations. This role is responsible for leading and optimizing payment-related operational processes across the platform to ensure accuracy, scalability, and efficiency in payment execution and supporting systems.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end payment operations, including check run processing and register management across multiple platforms
- Lead daily workflows to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance; establish and monitor KPIs and SLAs
- Manage vendor relationships (e.g., ECHO) for file transmissions and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) template creation/modification; troubleshoot vendor file failures
- Monitor revenue generation and EOB timing and reporting
- Partner with IT on incident response and system issues
- Drive automation and efficiency initiatives; support dashboard and reporting development
- Collaborate with Finance on funding requests, registers, and reporting
- Support TPA acquisition integrations
- Maintain controls, quality standards, workflow testing, and validation
- Lead Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, process standardization, and team training
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in payment operations or healthcare administration
- At least 3 years of leadership experience with cross-functional collaboration
- Background in claims management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with ECHO Health payment systems, VBA, HEALTHpac, and QuickLink preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000 to $80,000 USD, commensurate with experience and qualifications
