Manager, Revenue Accounting

Overview

This role is responsible for revenue accounting and billing functions for SaaS and on-prem software licenses. The Manager, Revenue Accounting leads accounting for revenue recognition under ASC 606, including deferred revenue and contract assets.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting and transaction recording for SaaS and on-prem software licenses under revenue recognition (ASC 606), including deferred revenue and contract assets
• Interpret new customer license agreements, SOWs, and amendments to track and apply appropriate billing and revenue recognition schedules
• Reconcile commissions on new deals and apply the proper accounting treatment
• Report monthly revenue results to the FP&A team and assist with revenue forecasting
• Serve as a contract point for external auditors and consultants to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Work toward scaling, automation, and continuous improvement of AR and revenue processes
• Manage a team of 4

Requirements

• 4–6 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA
• Deep working operational knowledge of ASC 606 for SaaS companies
• Billing/collections experience
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and responsiveness
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Managerial experience
• Experience with NetSuite/OpenAir

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual US base salary range: $129,000 to $139,000
• Final compensation will be determined during the interview process and will be based on a combination of factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, and education
