Payroll & Accounting Specialist - Broadband Solutions

Overview

A Broadband Solutions division is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements. This remote position reports to the Director of Treasury & FP&A and supports month-end close processes, payroll, accounts receivable, commissions, and sales tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including maintaining general ledger accuracy and assisting with audit requests.
• Process payroll activities, including payroll reconciliation and employee commission calculations and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations by preparing and submitting accurate and timely sales tax filings.
• Assist with accounts receivable processes, including collections support and resolution of outstanding balances.
• Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support ongoing accounting operations and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Five or more years of progressive finance experience.
• Proficiency with SAP or other advanced ERP systems.
• Strong background in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and SUMIF functions.
• Experience with data analysis.
• Knowledge of ADP or other payroll platforms.
• Strategic thinking and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $67,100 to $95,000, plus benefits and additional incentives based on role level.
