Payroll Manager

Overview

This role involves managing end-to-end payroll operations for a global organization with employees across the US, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Australia, Belgium, and additional international locations through an Employer of Record (EOR) provider.

Responsibilities

• Own payroll operations across all global entities, including US, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Australia, Belgium, and EOR payroll through Deel for other international locations
• Ensure payroll compliance across all regions, including tax filings, required reporting, and year-end close processes (W-2s, T4s, and local equivalents)
• Develop and maintain controls, reconciliations, and documentation to keep payroll audit-ready and scalable as new countries and entities are added
• Collaborate with People and Finance teams to ensure accurate payroll inputs, journal entries, and reporting that supports budgeting and forecasting
• Manage employee-facing payroll functions, including triaging inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and accurately handling benefits and retirement deductions (401(k), RRSP, and regional equivalents)

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience owning end-to-end payroll operations, with hands-on experience running US and Canada payroll
• Proven experience supporting global payroll across multiple countries and entities simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of payroll principles and multi-jurisdictional tax and labor laws (local, state, federal, and international)
• Proficiency with payroll software and systems, including administration of retirement and benefits programs
• Customer-service oriented approach to employee support, with strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines without errors

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Rippling payroll software
• Experience managing payroll through Deel or another EOR provider
• Familiarity with payroll accounting, reconciliations, and payroll-related journal entries

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $95,000 - $120,000 annually
