Redwood Finance Automation Solution Designer, Italy

Overview

This role supports an organization automating finance operations using Redwood Finance Automation. The work covers the record-to-report cycle, including period-end close, account reconciliation, journal processing, and the reporting that follows, all connected to the organization’s ERP.

Responsibilities

• Own the solution design end to end: from initial design through build, testing, and go-live
• Partner with finance process owners to understand how the close runs today
• Determine what should be automated and in what order
• Define a design that the engineering team can build
• Make design decisions based on how requirements translate into reality during delivery

Key deliverables include:

• Current-state analysis of record-to-report processes with controllers and finance operations leads
• Target-state automation solution design covering close, reconciliation, journals, and intercompany
• Decisions on what standard Redwood capability covers versus where an extension is justified
• Integration design with SAP S/4HANA or ECC and other source systems
• Design of balance sheet auto-certification rules, controls, approvals, and audit trail so the automated close supports audit requirements
• Guidance to engineering through build, including review of delivered outputs against the design
• Test strategy and acceptance criteria with finance users
• A roadmap for subsequent waves of automation after initial processes go live

Requirements

• Solution design ownership on at least one live Redwood Finance Automation (RunMyFinance) implementation, including running design workshops and writing the design
• 8 or more years of experience in finance transformation, finance systems, or record-to-report process design
• Working understanding of SAP FI/CO (or the Oracle equivalent), including how close and reconciliation data flows between the ERP and the automation layer
• Experience running workshops with finance users and translating input into designs that can be built and tested
• Ability to work with senior finance stakeholders and hold the design position when challenged

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on build experience on Redwood
• Experience with BlackLine, Trintech, or SAP Advanced Financial Closing
• Finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
• Financial services or other regulated industry experience, including work under SOX or similar audit controls

Compensation & Benefits

• Day rate: EUR 450 a day
• Contract duration: being confirmed
