Remote Accounts Payable Contractor

Overview

This part-time, remote role supports the accounting team during a period of high growth, focusing on maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department leaders to approve purchase orders using Coupa.
• Manage vendor invoices, process payments, and ensure accurate coding within the financial system.
• Monitor use tax accruals and communicate with suppliers regarding payment and banking inquiries.
• Review and upload invoices in MineralTree to ensure timely payments.
• Oversee employee expense reports, verify proper coding, and reconcile credit card and accounts payable accounts monthly.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and assist with month-end financial closing activities.
• Conduct quarterly reviews of user access to expense and travel platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with accounting software such as Netsuite or QuickBooks is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Excel and strong organizational skills.
• Solid understanding of Accounts Payables processes.
• Detail-oriented, motivated, flexible, and able to work well in a team environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly wage ranging from $43.00 to $55.00.
