Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end billing for a portfolio of contract and strategic partners, ensuring invoices are timely, accurate, and comply with commercial terms and policies.

  • Collaborate with Sales Operations, Business Development, Engineering, Finance, and Legal teams to align contract structures and billing with revenue recognition and accounts receivable requirements.
  • Address customer billing inquiries in partnership with Sales Operations, Customer Success, and Deal Desk teams.
  • Oversee accounts receivable aging, lead collections on past-due balances, reduce days sales outstanding and write-offs while maintaining customer relationships.
  • Resolve short-pays, disputes, and unapplied cash items; recommend payment plans or settlements within policy.
  • Manage allowance and bad debt assessments for higher-risk accounts, ensuring audit-ready documentation.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations of accounts receivable, unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, and other revenue-related accounts, resolving variances independently.
  • Maintain roll-forward schedules linking operational drivers to GAAP balances and period-over-period changes.
  • Design and enhance reconciliation processes and controls to support SOX compliance, scalability, and automation.
  • Propose process improvements to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Data/Analytics, Revenue Operations, and Product teams to develop and maintain reports supporting forecasting, performance metrics, and management/investor reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reported revenue and billing metrics.
  • Provide insights on revenue and accounts receivable trends by product, partner, segment, and cohort.
  • Participate in finance transformation activities including user acceptance testing for new or enhanced products and reporting.
  • Independently manage month-end and quarter-end close activities for assigned revenue and accounts receivable areas, including complex journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Ensure all processes and workpapers comply with SOX controls and identify gaps with remediation plans.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing reconciliations, documentation, and process explanations.
  • Assist with financial statement reporting analysis and ad hoc financial inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, especially ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with experience engaging senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing new processes.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analytics tools.

Compensation
