Sales Compensation & Reporting Accountant

Overview

This role is for a Senior Sales Compensation & Reporting Accountant supporting global sales commission and bonus reporting and payment information. The position partners closely with the Global Sales Team and provides accurate, timely reporting and accounting support for variable compensation.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and facilitate the accounting of variable compensation, including using Xactly Incent and Excel.
• Accountable for the calculation and payout of global sales commissions and bonuses, ensuring calculations are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, including month-end close support such as calculating, validating, and recording commission accruals, re-classifications, and adjustments.
• Prepare and process monthly commission payments in coordination with global payroll administrators.
• Understand transactional workflow, identify data sources, and ensure data integrity.
• Participate in incentive compensation plan design with HR and the Sales organization.
• Prepare audit schedules as requested, including supporting documentation.
• Update and maintain process documentation for accounting processes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, drive process improvements, and implement best practices.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Apply a continuous improvement mindset by suggesting and documenting process improvements, streamlining related processes, and recommending changes to improve transparency and efficiency for the global process.

Requirements

• Works under minimal supervision with a wide latitude for independent judgment.
• Five years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Accounting degree.
