Overview

This senior SBA Product Business Development Officer position is responsible for marketing a full range of banking services to Small Business Administration (SBA) loan–eligible businesses, with emphasis on client contact, loan origination, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Self-source SBA loan originations with emphasis on client contact, origination, and analysis
• Handle typical loan amounts of $350K - $5MM
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation
• Structure SBA loan proposals, complete initial analysis, and prepare credit packages
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, agency guidelines, and organization policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent of 4 years’ SBA lending experience
• Minimum of 5 years of SBA/Business/Commercial lending experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Business or Finance degree
• SBA loan originating experience
• Familiarity with Commercial loan underwriting systems
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (face-to-face and phone), including professional grammar and demeanor
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task; PC and internet proficiency

Compensation & Benefits

• Exempt status: Yes (not eligible for overtime pay)
