Senior Accountant - AR & AP

Overview

An interim Senior Accountant specializing in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) is needed for a contract position supporting a media client. This remote role involves managing day-to-day AR and AP functions to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities, including custom invoice preparation, collections, invoice processing, payment workflows, AP approvals, and monitoring the AR inbox to resolve customer billing inquiries promptly.
• Oversee invoicing workflows by extracting data from HubSpot, organizing and cleaning data in Excel, and preparing invoice files for upload into Oracle EBS / Fusion.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support efficient accounting operations.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Accounting, and customers to resolve billing questions, verify customer and invoice information, support collections efforts, improve interdepartmental communication, and identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing Accounts Receivable processes, including custom invoicing, collections, customer reconciliations, and billing support.
• Experience with Accounts Payables approval processes, invoice handling, and AP workflows in a fast-paced, high-volume accounting environment.
• Strong proficiency with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data manipulation.
• Experience working with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or similar systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Finance, and customers.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work independently in a remote consulting environment.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree is a strong plus.
• 4-7+ years of professional accounting experience.

Compensation & Location

• Compensation: $45+ per hour
