Overview
This role supports parent company partnership accounting, including C-Suite income statement and balance sheet reporting. It executes accounting for related areas such as legal entity accounting, financial reporting, balance sheet governance, cash management, audit and other controls. The position applies generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial information, reconcile financial statements, prepare general and standard journal entries, and prepare standard accounting and financial reports for management.
Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze financial information for inclusion in various financial statements and accounting reports; make appropriate journal entries by checking calculations, reviewing the basis for figures, and balancing and reconciling amounts.
- Oversee income statement variance analysis for various legal entities by monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results and providing variance commentary on period-over-period and prior-year fluctuations.
- Review legal entity, revenue, expense, invoices, and other accounting documents; research and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Approve and authorize exceptions to bank reconciliations and wire transfers for deposit to support balance sheet governance and ensure accuracy.
- Follow accounting control procedures, including balance sheet account reconciliations and substantiation; review account balances for accuracy and completeness; ensure supporting documentation is maintained in accordance with corporate policy.
- Serve as a liaison to internal and external auditors by explaining journal entries and financial transactions, providing research data and information as requested, and answering questions needed to complete the audit in a timely manner.
- Establish annual goals and objectives; establish workflows to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Implement process and procedural improvements to streamline work, increase productivity, and maintain service and quality excellence.
- Complete financial, accounting, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to write and communicate effectively to prepare and explain financial data to business leaders and managers, team members, clients, internal and external auditors, and other business contacts.
- Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database management, and corporate accounting and job cost accounting programs to complete required reports.
- Oracle experience preferred.
- Demonstrated professional skills sufficient to handle sensitive information and interact with business leadership.
- Employment history demonstrating the use of an accounting and financial background to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports in accordance with accounting, finance, legal entity accounting, and cost control principles.
- Combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating use of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- College degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred.
- CPA designation preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000
Additional Compensation:
- Corporate positions: In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
- Onsite property positions: In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.

Location
This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except the state of Alaska.
