Senior Accountant - Client Accounting Services (REMOTE)

Overview

A top national professional services firm specializing in assurance, tax, and consulting solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their rapidly growing Outsourced Accounting group. The firm has over 600 employees and is recognized as one of the top-rated midsize firms in the region. This is a remote position offering a salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close processes for a portfolio of clients
• Review and direct accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
• Manage payroll processes ensuring on-time execution
• Oversee monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with payroll, sales, and use tax reporting requirements
• Administer and maintain charts of accounts and cloud-based accounting platforms
• Design and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial integrity
• Deliver complete and accurate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Create financial analyses, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational reporting for clients
• Prepare budgets and forecasts and maintain them within financial systems
• Coach and develop junior team members, playing a hands-on leadership role in client accounting engagements

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting operations and month-end close processes
• Strong knowledge of payroll management and tax compliance
• Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms
• Ability to design and monitor internal controls
• Strong analytical skills for financial reporting and budgeting
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor junior staff

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
