Junior IPT Compliance Analyst

Overview

This role supports the accurate preparation and filing of Insurance Premium Tax returns as part of the Compliance Services team in Portugal. Full training will be provided, with increasing responsibility as you grow in the position.

The position also involves acting as a trusted first point of contact for routine client questions, validating tax data using in-house software and AI-assisted tools, and ensuring returns are completed accurately and submitted within strict legal deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for routine questions from your client portfolio and build trusted relationships.
• Validate client Insurance Premium Tax data using in-house software and AI-assisted tools to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in confirming tax amounts due and help create accurate tax returns under guidance from experienced team members.
• Ensure all data is complete and returns are submitted within strict legal deadlines.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver seamless service and support business operations.

Requirements

• Client service, administrative, or analytical experience (e.g., internships, university projects, or other work).
• Interest in client service, finance, accounting, or working with data, with a desire to build compliance expertise.
• Comfort using MS Office and basic knowledge of Excel, or the ability to learn it quickly.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks and meet legal deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and leverage AI-assisted workflows in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift.
• Positive, solutions-oriented attitude and willingness to learn new skills and tools.
• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional European languages are an advantage.
