Senior Accountant

Overview

A client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the finance team in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role is critical for facilitating decision-making by key internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct month-end close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis
• Support quarterly reviews and year-end audits with independent auditors
• Perform research and analytical reviews on significant transactions
• Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations or resolve issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and provide guidance on accounting-related matters
• Participate in ad-hoc accounting-related projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; Master’s in accounting or CPA preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounting roles
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Positive and helpful attitude with a commitment to process improvements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in large accounting software (SAP or similar ERP experience) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines

Physical Demands

• Regular communication with individuals internal and external to the organization
• Frequent movement about the facility
• May be required to lift up to 15 lbs independently

Position Type and Hours

• Full-time position with typical business hours
• May require additional hours during the week and weekends as determined with the manager
