Overview
This organization operates in the international nonprofit sector focused on addressing the global water and sanitation crisis. The role of Senior Accountant, Consolidations supports accurate and reliable consolidated financial reporting across a complex, multi-entity global organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full monthly financial close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare consolidated trial balances to support accurate financial reporting to leadership.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries for consolidated financial statements.
- Conduct weekly revenue reconciliations and coordinate with Revenue Operations on variances.
- Manage bank matching and payment platform settlements across various accounts.
- Prepare schedules and documentation for audits and contribute to Audit Committee materials.
- Support process improvements by developing standard operating procedures and maintaining the chart of accounts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least seven years of progressive accounting experience, including U.S. GAAP knowledge.
- Experience with intercompany transactions, consolidations, and multi-entity accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial and tax reporting requirements.
- Proficiency with accounting information systems, preferably NetSuite.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Office.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work across departments and time zones.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $80,000 to $90,000 (flexible based on qualifications).
- Eligibility for an annual incentive plan up to 10%.
