Overview
A global crypto and Web3 platform founded in 2014 is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Finance and Accounting teams. The organization operates a regulated digital asset exchange serving individuals and institutions in over 70 countries. This role is central to scaling efforts and enhancing transparency and public company reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end close
- Account for digital asset transactions, customer custodial funds, revenue recognition, and other financial areas
- Analyze fluctuations and trends in financial statement line items and provide insightful commentary
- Assist with preparation of annual and quarterly footnote disclosures
- Support internal and external audit requests with timely documentation and analyses
- Identify process improvements and help implement scalable accounting practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and account for new transaction types
- Contribute to special projects as needed
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, economics, finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and/or industry experience
- CPA or equivalent license required
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Experience with fintech, digital assets, or financial services is a strong plus but not required
- Experience managing multiple competing deliverables
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and ownership of complex areas
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced and changing financial environment
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus

Salary Range: $92,400 - $132,000 base salary (New York State). This range excludes discretionary bonus and equity grants. Compensation is determined based on skillset, experience, job scope, and market data.
Location & Work Arrangement
The organization offers a hybrid work approach at hub offices in the United States, balancing in-person collaboration with remote work flexibility. Specific expectations vary by location and role. Remote work is available for employees not located near a hub.
