Senior Accountant

Overview

This role is for a Senior Accountant in Corporate Finance. The position reports to the Assistant Controller and is full-time. Work is remote.

The anticipated salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $75,000.00/Yr. - $80,000.00/Yr.

Salary will be determined based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Support fixed assets, lease accounting, and general accruals.
• Prepare monthly close journal entries.
• Complete monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Compile, adjust, and evaluate various accruals to ensure accuracy.
• Research and correct account discrepancies and variances.
• Work with external auditors, providing documentation and explanations.
• Maintain ongoing communication with business partners.
• Properly execute controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) - General Ledger.
• Experience with Tagetik - Consolidation of financial reporting.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Understanding and knowledge of US GAAP.
• 3 or more years of accounting or finance experience.
• Experience interfacing with internal/external customers.
• Experience with the financial reporting close process.
• Ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and computer skills (Microsoft Excel is a must).
• Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relations.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
• Key skills/attributes: organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, and accountability.
