Overview
A growing organization providing Community Development services is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team. This is a remote position supporting a multi-entity organization serving communities nationwide. The role is integral to the month-end close process and offers the opportunity to work collaboratively and make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
- Perform bank reconciliations and post cash transactions accurately and timely
- Assist with the month-end close process in coordination with the Assistant Controller and Controller
- Maintain and post balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage the Ramp platform, including Accounts Payable, expense policy enforcement, fund requests, coding validation, and month-end reconciliation
- Ensure appropriate expense accruals are posted for month-end close
- Provide backup support for recording payroll entries and accruals throughout the month
- Support merger and acquisition (M&A) integration activities as needed
- Supervise and mentor 1-2 direct reports
- Contribute to system improvement initiatives, process documentation, and standardization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
- Experience with standard industry accounting software packages
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn new tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive, positive attitude and flexibility in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working effectively in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAGE Intacct and Ramp platforms
- Practice with multi-entity consolidations
- Familiarity with M&A integration accounting
- Multi-entity corporate accounting experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 - $100,000, depending on experience
