Senior Accountant, Onboarding

Overview

This role is for a Senior Accountant in the Client Onboarding department. You will help set clients up for success by managing onboarding projects, supporting accurate and timely financial setup, and maintaining strong client relationships in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, accrual-basis financial statements
• Perform detailed reconciliations for bank, credit card, merchant service, and loan accounts
• Apply financial analysis to support data-driven decision-making
• Manage multiple client onboarding projects across various industries
• Follow structured project plans aligned with client needs and timelines
• Deliver high-quality service that is timely and within scope
• Use cloud-based accounting platforms and integrated tools to streamline processes

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in GAAP-based accounting and financial reporting
• Strong client communication skills and a passion for helping small businesses
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and/or Xero
• Industry exposure in at least one of the following: e-commerce, product-based businesses, technology, real estate, or professional services
• Consulting experience with multiple clients or projects at once
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems and app integrations
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in public accounting
• Experience working in a remote, tech-forward environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $65,000–$85,000/year plus a performance bonus
