Senior Accountant

Overview

Remote position in Finance, reporting to the Controller.

Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 base.

This role involves owning key areas of financial reporting and close operations, including financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, lease accounting, and fixed asset management. The position is designed for an independent, detail-oriented accountant who identifies issues early and helps improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Support external audit processes
• Account for leases under ASC 842
• Manage prepaid expenses and intercompany reconciliations
• Track fixed assets, including work-in-process and internally developed software
• Partner with the tax team on property, sales and use, and other fixed asset tax matters
• Help evaluate accounting systems and recommend enhancements
• Help design controls and processes to support a reliable close

Requirements

• CPA license
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a senior accounting role
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• SEC reporting experience
• Advanced Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
• Technical accounting expertise and commitment to staying current with new standards
• Strong attention to detail in high-volume environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-entity or consolidated financial reporting
• Working knowledge of NetSuite ERP; Fixed Asset Management (FAM) experience is a plus
• Experience in both public and private company environments
• Familiarity with DOMO business intelligence and AI tools such as Claude Cowork
