- Lead accounting projects and system changes from planning through delivery.

- Collaborate effectively under pressure, welcome feedback, mentor others through review and explanation, and contribute to shared department goals.
How You’ll Collaborate
- Partner with FP&A, Payroll, Tax, AP/AR, and Engineering/IT on data flows, system changes, internal controls, and month-end close dependencies.

- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas (lookups, nested logic, pivots, and array formulas) for reconciliations and analysis.
- Day-to-day experience using an AI tool for analysis, automation, or documentation, with sound judgment validating outputs.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and ability to explain accounting decisions clearly.
- Understanding of people, process, and system controls, including experience leading process or project improvement.

- Familiarity with entity structure, close calendar, policies, and systems connecting Accounting to the rest of the business.
- Large-project planning experience, including creating major project plans, estimating work, and explaining delivery confidence.

- Take over reconciliations and journal entries for assigned accounts and complete them on the close calendar with reviewer sign-off.
- Document people, process, and system controls for assigned areas and share risks and questions with your manager.
- Meet 1:1 with key partners (FP&A, Tax, AP/AR, and audit contacts) to learn needs and align on collaboration.
Within 3 months, you’ll…
- Prepare assigned financial statements and flux analysis independently for two consecutive closes with minimal review.
- Present variance analysis with clear structure and explanation of drivers.
- Contribute inputs to the budget schedule on time with supporting detail and clearly stated assumptions.
- Identify at least two process improvements, rank them by impact and effort, and implement one end to end.
- Research and document the technical accounting position for one non-routine transaction or policy area, and walk Accounting Managers through it.
Within 6 months, you’ll…
- Enhance or redesign reconciliations with substantial backup and clear explanation of work.
- Lead one end-to-end project or system change: write a project plan, estimate work, state confidence in the timeline, and deliver.
- Design and ship automation (using NetSuite, Excel, and/or AI tools) that reduces manual effort in the close or reporting process and gets data to stakeholders faster.
- Present regularly (e.g., monthly) and take on additional accounting responsibilities.
